AI Policy
Last updated November 7, 2026
Why this page exists
AI is part of my classroom and my industry, so I want to be honest about how I use it, and clear about how my resources may and may not be used with AI tools.
This AI Policy is part of our Terms of Use. By joining The Digital Media Teacher's Club, you agree to it.
How I use AI
I use AI as a helper, not as the author. I use it to:
- Rewrite instructions into student-friendly language.
- Help me organize my resources.
- Help me draft emails and blog posts, which I heavily rewrite until they are my own words and thoughts.
- Help me build my website, which I heavily change and fix so it looks like my brand and stays honest to it.
I do not use AI to make:
- Slides.
- Student examples.
- Mockup images.
- Entire resources that go out unchanged.
Lessons about AI
Because I teach lessons on AI in Photoshop and Illustrator, I use AI regularly and stay up to date with how the industry uses it.
Some resources made specifically for teaching AI in the classroom include AI elements. When a resource includes AI elements, it will always say so, so you know before you use it.
My review promise
I review EVERYTHING AI helps me create. Nothing goes straight from an AI tool into my classroom or into the Club.
Every lesson is tested in my own classroom. When I am no longer in the classroom, trusted teachers will test the materials in theirs.
How you may use AI with my resources
You may use an AI tool to adjust the instructions for one of your own students who speaks another language or needs a lower reading level. When you do:
- Use only the part you need, for your own students.
- Do not share, post or sell the adjusted version.
- When the tool lets you, turn off the setting that uses your content to train the AI.
What you may not do
You may not:
- Upload my resources, or large parts of them, into ChatGPT or any other AI tool to copy, rewrite, remix or recreate them.
- Use AI to make new products, lessons or resources from my resources to share, give away or sell.
- Use my resources to train, fine-tune or build an AI model, tool or chatbot.
- Present AI-rewritten versions of my resources as your own work.
Breaking these rules is breaking our Terms of Use, and the sections on intellectual property and ending a membership apply.
Changes to this policy
AI changes fast, so I may update this page. The newest version is always here, with the date at the top.
